It was a glorious September day, Sunday 15th, at the World of Country Life, Exmouth. The sun shone and everyone was in a good mood. Attendance was fine and a number of vehicles that we hadn't seen before made the show more interesting. Also good to see was the large number of visitors who were actively interested in the cars keeping us busy talking about our exhibits. At the end of the day, World of Country Life management presented a long service gift to Ken Malin (right) in recognition of his 15 years of organising this WCVC event together with the World of Country Life. The trophies were presented by James, Manager of WOCL.

On Sunday 21 July, the WCVC hosted a car event at Torre Abbey. The weather was unkind to us at the beginning but after 11am the rain stopped and we had beautiful sunshine. 40 cars attended. It was a difficult decision with so many interesting cars, but the trophy for 'Car of the Day" was awarded to Phil Haste, (Morris Minor), by Chris May (President) (top right). The Nik Nax prize draw, in aid of our charity was won by Doreen Norton. (right)

Presidents's Message

In common with a lot of other clubs and associations we have a problem in recruiting committee members and helpers for our shows. This is a shame and something that we must get to grips with if we are to move forward as we all want. My telephone number is readily accessible so if anyone should like to contact me please do.
I am very proud of our Club and the friendly atmosphere at our great shows. Rest assured I will try to build on what we have achieved.
I look forward to meeting you all over the hot summer that we will surely have.

Best wishes. Chris May
President
